POLLUTION
Pollution is the introduction of contaminants (substances, energy, or even light or sound) into the natural environment that cause harm to living organisms, ecosystems, and human well-being. Pollutants can be naturally occurring, but pollution generally refers to human-caused contamination, often at a rate faster than the environment can naturally process and store it harmlessly. Major types of pollution include air pollution, water pollution, and land pollution, along with others such as noise pollution and light pollution.
